Dry oats and a bowl of porridge are different
The nutrition figure on this page is per 100g of dry oats. A usual bowl uses less, then takes on the nutrition of the milk, yoghurt, fruit and toppings you add.
That is a good thing. Food is normally eaten as a meal, and a bowl with milk and fruit can offer more variety than oats alone.
Use oats beyond breakfast
Oats work in porridge, overnight oats, baked oats, crumble toppings, energy bites and homemade burgers. Their neutral flavour makes them easy to use when you want more texture or fibre.
Choose plain oats most often if you want to control the sugar and salt in the final dish. Flavoured sachets can be convenient, but ingredients and portions vary.
